The Lord Is My Deliverer

The Lord Is My Deliverer

The Lord is My Deliverer

This Week's Memory verse: Psalm 27:1 (NLT) — 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation - so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?"

As followers of Christ, to be able to experience the blessings of being DELIVERED BY GOD we must.....

  1. PRAY TO GOD FOR OUR DELIVERANCE. (Psalm 54:1-3)
Is Our ASKING Of The Favor Of The Only God That Is Able To Save Us
    1. An Attitude of Humility & Boldness because we have ACCESS to Prayer answering God (v.1)
    2. There is Power in the name of Jesus (that is exalted, Above all, Eternal, with all power (v.1)
    3. Only God can clear our name, reputation eternally, with His everlasting power (v.1)
    4. We must ask and petition to God to hear our earnest, real and sincere prayer (v.2)
    5. A stranger to us, isn't a stranger to the God who knows the intent of people who don’t know Him (v.3)
  2. PREPARE FOR GOD's DELIVERANCE. (Psalm 54:4-5)
It Is Our ANTICIPATION (& Expectation) Of The Only God That Can Save Us
    1. There is no one else that can assist us, guide us, keep us, and bless us like Jesus can (v.4)
    2. God wants us to keep our peace (Exod 14:4). Let God seek revenge. Not us (V. 5; Rom 12:18-19).
    3. God is faithful and God knows how to execute perfect judgment & wicked will not get away (V.5)
  3. PRAISE GOD, IN ADVANCE FOR OUR DELIVERANCE. (Psalm 54:6-7)
It is Our Appreciation OF The Only God that Has Eternally Blessed Us
    1. I will bless you God, because I am thankful & grateful for what you have already done in my life
    2. I will bless you God, in advance, for you are getting ready to do (V.6).
    3. I will honor You God, in how I live, what I say, how I give, and how I serve others.
    4. Because your history and track record is proof and evidence that you are my deliverer (V.7).

"God, thank you for being our helper, provider, protector and Savior. May we always praise You, for Who You are. May we always thank You for everything that You’ve done, that You are doing and all that You will do in the future of our lives on earth and in heaven to come."
